Clare Croft

Clare Croft is a historian, theorist, and dramaturg, working at the intersection of dance studies and performance studies. Clare is the author of the recently published book, Dancers as Diplomats: American Choreography in Cultural Exchange (Oxford University Press 2015). Croft has published writing about performance in academic journals, including Dance Chronicle, Dance Research Journal and Theatre Journal, as well as having been a regular contributor to The Washington Post and the Austin American Statesman. Croft is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dance at the University of Michigan where she teaches in the BFA and MFA programs.
