CJ Heath

CJ Heath writes across multiple genres. His works tend to be either rooted in the dark urban fantasy or at the other end of the spectrum, he writes lgbt, coming of age stories.

The book he takes most pride in having written is Her Name is James which explores the life of an eighteen year old male who has always identified as female (mtf trans). Though not marketed at the chick-lit audience, he is aware this is the main readership of the 'weepy tearjerker'.

CJ's growing number of publications have garnered favorable reviews but not content to sit back and become complacent, he considers each story to be a stepping stone to the next work which he tries to keep his readership appraised of via his website at www.cjheath.com

In his own words, he feels he has a compulsion to write and though it's taken him a long time to complete his first book, he is committed to a long future of tales to tell.

"I remember being seven years old and having to be taken out of class for extra reading lessons as I was so far behind my peers. Within a year I had the reading age of an eleven year old. The spark that set the fire was lit. A passion, not just for the written word but for the stories and worlds they describe was born and a hope engendered. After starting and discarding scores of stories, I have finally found the time, motivation and story to write."

CJ's future works include a new lgbt coming of age story and then he professes a desire to look again at the genres of horror and science fiction / fantasy. He claims his main distraction from writing is the struggle to focus on a single story as new tales rear their heads too rapidly for him to record them.
