Patricia Grady Cox

Patricia Cox is a member of Women Writing the West and the Western Writers of America. A former east-coast social worker, she now lives in Arizona. She has written short stories, teleplays, one-act plays and worked for a time as a "stringer" for a newspaper in Cave Creek, Arizona. Previously published works include essays for magazines and ghost-written memoirs published by her company, "I Remember When . . ." Being able to explore (and live in) the areas which serve as her settings brings authenticity to her writing, which is further enhanced by her love of the southwest and an interest in Arizona history. As Thomas (Crazy Heart) Cobb, author of "With Blood in Their Eyes", said of her writing, she is "A great new voice in western literature. Patricia Grady Cox peoples a landscape so real you can smell the dust, with remarkable and authentic characters. "
