Ryan Petty

Ryan lives in the USA... in a ferryboat town near Seattle with his wife Melissa and the ghost of their Alaskan Malamute dog—Kodiak.

He writes novels in verse; historical fiction; books for children; memoirs; and the occasional odd book that defies explanation.

Though Ryan writes to a professional standard, he thinks of himself as a delighted amateur. He studied creative writing at Princeton under Jerzy Kosinski and Anthony Burgess and was, for a decade thereafter, the proprietor of Austin, Texas-based Cold Mountain Press, a do-it-yourself publisher of signed, limited editions in poetry and fiction.*

Ryan and illustrator Vera Kulikov are currently at work on a picturebook, which isn’t about Elves.... Watch for it to be published in the spring of 2022.
