John A. Wasowicz

John Adam Wasowicz is the author of seven legal mysteries based in Old Town, Alexandria, VA, including Spite House (2024), Hazel Falls (2023), Gadsby’s Corner (2022), Roaches Run (2021), Slaters Lane (2020), Jones Point (2019), and Daingerfield Island (2017). He began his career as a Congressional aide on Capitol Hill for the late US Senator Edward Brooke from his home state of Massachusetts. After earning a law degree from Catholic University in Washington, D.C., he became as an Assistant Commonwealth Attorney in Arlington, VA. He departed the prosecutor’s office to earn a masters degree in public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School, and then practiced law in the private sector in Virginia. He began his current career as a Federal attorney in 2005. He earned a BA in English from Windham College in Putney, VT, and holds an MA in journalism from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. He and his wife reside in the Mount Vernon section of Fairfax County, VA, where they raised their three sons. Wasowicz is a member of the Virginia State Bar. He was born and raised in Chicopee, MA.
