Sean Starr

Visual Artist Sean Starr has been creating original art with his primary medium being gold leaf on glass known as Verre églomisé. In addition to original gilded art pieces on glass, Starr provides gilding, decorative painting, restorations and sign painting services to other artists, architects, interior designers, collectors and business owners throughout the United States and abroad. Sean Starr’s original artwork has been displayed in dozens of exhibitions at galleries and institutions in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Napa Valley, Philadelphia, Chicago, San Antonio and Ireland.

He first became known as a writer with the release of the book “You, Me and Morrissey” co-authored with Colin Nasseri which was made an Official Entrant for the Pulitzer Prize in 2008, a book Entertainment Weekly labeled “Obsessive” shortly after its release.

His work has been featured in the documentary film and book "Sign Painters" as well as on the Discovery Channel, NBC Television, Robb Report, Juxtapoz Magazine, Art Forum, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Magazine, Dallas Observer, Houston Press, Fort Worth Magazine, and Cavallino Magazine to name just a few. Sean Starr is the host of the documentary film “Art is Love: Nepal.”

The studio’s clients have included Sony Music, NBC Television, The GAP, Starbucks, Indian Motorcycle as well as Reese Witherspoon, Fleetwood Mac's Lindsay Buckingham, and the bands The Cranberries and The Toadies and some of the top car collectors in the United States.
