Evan Camby

Evan Camby is the award-winning author of the Walking After Midnight: Tales for Halloween series. Part One of Walking After Midnight was named one of Suspense Magazine’s Best Books of 2014. Her next collection, Midnight Frost: Chilling Tales for Winter Nights, will be released on November 1, 2026.

Rooted in the gothic horror tradition and shaped by elements of thriller, mystery, and suspense, Camby’s fiction draws on the influence of Edgar Allan Poe, Washington Irving, and Shirley Jackson. She writes dark, atmospheric stories often set in the Midwest, where she lives.
