Tamara Fonteyn

My name is Tamara Fonteyn and I was born in Montreal on October 6, 1970. Throughout my life, I have had the pleasure of immersing myself in the world of literature and education, especially in the field of children's books. As an author, I have created numerous literary creations, ranging from gripping novels to enchanting fairy tales.

However, my repertoire extends beyond mere storytelling. I have also contributed to the educational landscape by developing a variety of books for children. These include activity books, workbooks, puzzle books, and even math books, all designed to engage young minds and encourage learning.

Before embarking on my writing career, I pursued my academic interests in mathematics and philosophy. I was privileged to study these subjects at prestigious universities in Europe and Canada, which provided me with a solid foundation for my future endeavors.

After graduation, I began my professional journey as an elementary math teacher in France. It was an incredibly rewarding experience as I witnessed the joy of children as they grasped mathematical concepts and discovered the beauty of numbers.

Driven by my passion for literature and education, I moved into the publishing industry. I joined a well-known publishing house, initially working as an editor. Over time, I took on greater responsibilities, eventually rising to the position of Editorial Manager and Director of Children's Book Collections. In this role, I was able to contribute to the development and publication of exceptional books that enrich the lives of young readers.

For the past decade, I have dedicated myself to the art of bookmaking. Every day, I immerse myself in the realm of storytelling, conceptualizing compelling narratives and creating educational resources that ignite children's imaginations. It is my true pleasure and privilege to bring joy and knowledge into the lives of young readers through my work.

With a background in mathematics and philosophy, coupled with my experience as a teacher and publishing professional, I strive to create engaging and educational books that leave a lasting impact on young minds.
