David Martin

David Martin has been an instructor since 1990. He has teaching experience of various subjects and software programs. He currently serves as the Department Chair of the Architecture Department at Glendale Community College in Glendale, California. He is also an adjunct instructor at Rio Hondo Community College in Whittier, California. Prior to his teaching career, he served in the United States military in both the Marine Corps Reserve and the US Army. He has also worked as a structural drafter/designer and as a CAD training consultant. He is also a Content Author for Lynda.com and has completed an on-line course about the MicroStation CAD software program.

Dave has taught subjects such as: Introduction to Revit Architecture, Introduction to AutoCAD, Introduction to MicroStation, Architectural Drawing and Design, Architectural and Engineering Print Reading, International Building Code, Perspective Graphics, Descriptive Geometry, Metal Machining, and Mechanical Drawing. He has taught versions of Revit beginning with the 2008 version and MicroStation beginning with V5 to V8i (SELECTseries 4). He currently teaches Revit, AutoCAD, and MicroStation V8i among other engineering and architectural subjects.

He lives in Southern California with his beautiful wife and five wonderful children.
