Christine Clepper Musser

Christine Musser holds a bachelor’s degree in American History and Writing from Vermont College. She also completed history courses at Shippensburg University towards a master degree in Applied History.

Christine is the author of Silver Spring Township for Arcadia Publication's “Images of America” series. The book consists of vintage photos of Silver Spring Township located in Cumberland County, PA.

The Educational Testing Service (ETS) approached Christine in 2011 to use her article, “Preserving Memory: National Holocaust Memorial Museum Controversy," in the Advanced Placement (AP) exam booklet. In March of 2013, she was approached again by ETS for permission to print additional copies of the article.

From 2007 to 2010, Christine was a contributing writer for Suite 101 and has published the following articles in print:

She has also done in depth research on a local gentleman who traveled west in the mid-1800s and made a fortune in cattle ranching, investments in the transcontinental railroad, and federal contracts. Her research on the gentleman has taken her to Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming. She is currently working his biography.

Christine has participated in various historical events and an archeological dig at the Ephrata Cloister in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. She is a member of Silver Spring Township's Conservation and Preservation Committee and Hogetown's Revitalization Committee and chairs the Committee's ad hoc History Committee.

Besides her interest in history, Christine also loves photography and traveling. She also is a qualified tutor. Please see subjects Christine is qualified to tutor.
