Andy Batt

Andy Batt creates moving images for editorial, advertising, interactive and corporate clients. His work is high energy, capturing the speed, beauty and grace of his subjects. He is known for his dramatic sports photos and his portraits of interesting people. Andy has been a panelist for Canon Cameras, APA San Francisco, a workshop teacher for the Newspace for Photography, and a featured panelist for ASMP's 2012 symposium "Sustainable Business Models: Issues and Trends Facing Visual Artists"

His photography has been featured in Photo District News, Communication Arts, Shutterbug, Annenberg Space for Photography, PhotoEidolo Magazine, Foto & Video Magazine/Russia, Avante Garde Living Magazine/Hyderabaad, India, MRM Magazine/Hong Kong, and ASMP's Bulletin magazine. Andy is a member of APA, ASMP and former Co-President of ASMP Oregon. He was a teacher in the online Digital Masters of Photography program at the School of Visual Arts/NYC for 3 years.

Andy recently finished co-authoring a photography textbook titled "Camera & Craft: The Technical Art of Digital Photography", to be published by Focal Press in 2014.
