David Theune

David Theune is a teacher, writer, and reader. He has been teaching English/Language Arts for twelve years at Spring Lake High School--the last three with technology integration. He has held many other positions with students outside of the classroom including a decade of theatre direction, ski club advisor, and more. He simply loves his time around young people.

David has recently found a love for sharing his educational journey through presentations at educational conferences. He has given two memorable MACUL Lightning Talks and is slated to speak more around Michigan this year. David holds a Master's in Education from Grand Valley State University as well as Bachelor Degrees in English (GVSU) and Theatre (Hope College).

David finds additional value in traveling and laughing--all of which he likes to do with his three energetic daughters and his loving wife, Nikki.
