Sundarapandian Vaidyanathan

Dr. Sundarapandian Vaidyanathan is a Professor and Dean at the Research and Development Centre, Vel Tech University, Avadi, Chennai, India since September 2009. Previously, he was a Professor and Director at the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management-Kerala, Trivandrum, India. He earned his Doctor of Science Degree from the Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering, Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri, USA in May 1996. He has published over 120 Scopus-indexed research papers in International Journals and Conference Proceedings. He has authored the text-books - Numerical Linear Algebra (2008, PHI Learning Pvt. Ltd. New Delhi, India), Probability, Statistics and Queueing Theory (2009, PHI Learning Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, India) and Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations (2012, McGraw Hill Education, New Delhi, India).

Dr. Sundarapandian Vaidyanathan has his main research interests in the areas - Control Systems, Chaos Theory, Optimization, Operations Research, Soft Computing, Mathematical Modelling and Scientific Computing. He has delivered several Key Note lectures and conducted Workshops on Nonlinear Control Systems, Chaos and Control, Fuzzy Logic, Mathematical Modelling, Research Methodology, Scientific Computing, SCILAB and MATLAB.
