Tony Malone

Tony’s writing spans poetry, essays, reflections and books for adults and children, exploring subjects from knitting and folklore to human rights, social justice and our shared humanity.

At the heart of his work is a lifelong curiosity about our connections to one another and the world around us: how we notice, how we care, and how we remain human in a world that encourages us to hurry past what matters.

For nearly three decades, Tony has worked alongside people and communities seeking greater equality, dignity and belonging. His writing on Human Rights, Social Justice and Equity, Diversity & Inclusion is read in universities across the Western world.

His creative work includes children’s stories set in the fictional Welsh town of Aberknitillery, alongside poetry, knitting books and explorations of Welsh folklore and mythology. A lifelong love of storytelling has also seen Tony contribute to numerous books and write short radio plays for BBC Radio, CNN and WSM.
