Kate Shaw

Kate Shaw lives in Nelson with her two daughters and a giant dog. Kate's urban fantasy series Danton Bay is accompanied by three additional short stories in the Down Under Fantasy Relms anthology.

Several more of Kate's short stories are included in the anthology series Lunch Book Three, recently released in paperback in New Zealand. In 2023 Kate's short story Out of Time won 1st place at the Northland National Short Story Competition.

Kate has also tried her hand at scriptwriting and, in 2020, she co-wrote her first short play, St Bridgid's Eve. On debut at the Nelson Fringe Festival, the play won the Best Newcomer award.
