Claudia Megele

Claudia Megele is the Director of Quality, Safety, Improvement and Safeguarding in the States of Guernsey (the Channel Islands). She has held several leadership roles in different local authorities and national organisations in the UK including Assistant Director and National Safeguarding Lead for Cafcass and the National Chair of the Principal Social Workers Network. She has also led multiple research projects and is a Fellow of National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), School for Social Care Research (SSCR). She has published her work and research in several books and papers.

Claudia has a unique and complementary combination of experiences across statutory, voluntary, academic, research and third sectors ranging from play therapy with terminally ill children at Red Cross Children's Hospital to psychotherapy with adults at the NHS. She has also held research and leadership roles in academia including serving as Programme Lead for Masters and Post-Qualifying programmes.

During her time in academia, Claudia was selected by JISC as the 50 most influential higher education professionals using social media and was selected by Linkedin as one of the top 10 most engaged power women on LinkedIn UK.

Claudia has advised and led various boards including as: member of the advisory board of the National Children's Bureau (NCB), Trustee at Mind, and the Chair and Vice-Chair of Tower Hamlets Police and Community Safety Board.
