Mary Huckstep

A former AP English teacher and freelance writer, Mary earned her MFA in Screenwriting from UCLA in 2004 - then won enough writing awards to wallpaper her kitchen with certificates, and cover her mantle piece with trophies.

After 3 years as a script doctor on projects in the studio system, Mary decided to "write what you know." And what she knows best is silly stories about family life - having raised 5 kids and living to tattle-tell it all.

Thus, MMQ was born. In 2011, Mary met Denver artist David Condry, took one look at his website, and the rest - as they say - is history.

Mary visits Denver often, but lives in Los Angeles - to be close to her family, to be close to the film industry, and to keep her favorite chair polished at a secret Hollywood coffee bar - where industry insiders whisper over their lattes and aging divas gaze hopefully around the room - one trying to avoid the paparazzi, the other desperately trying to engage them.
