In the Creative World, Scott Howard is well-recognized as a graphic designer and illustrator, children’s book author and illustrator, a dynamic public speaker, and now a fantasy-fiction author.
While "Fun, Entertaining, Interactive, Educational and 'Creatively Inspiring," may be the tagline on his amazing children's book, Artsy Ant Alphabet Art Adventures," it also describes Scott. Growing up in Rehoboth, Massachusetts, the setting for his fantasy fiction adventure novel, “Into the Mystic,” Scott promised himself, "When I grow up, I'm going to remember what it was like to be a kid." In part, his Artsy Ant book is a reflection of that promise.
Following high school, he served three years as an illustrator and graphic artist in the U.S. Army. He then earned his Associate in Arts degree at Monterey Peninsula College, California, and a Bachelor of Arts at California State University, Fullerton.
Throughout his career, Scott worked as a graphic designer at advertising agencies, businesses, corporations, and as a self-employed freelance artist. In 2008, he sought new creative ideas, resulting in his first children’s book, “Artsy Ant Alphabet Art Adventures,” and joined Toastmasters in 2009 to develop competency as a public speaker. Since then, Scott has been in demand as an entertaining and inspiring speaker in venues from schools and children’s charities to workshops, seminars, and corporate events. He has continued to illustrate children’s books, such as “Hooray for Breezy” by Wendy A. Williams, and multiple graphics projects, including logos, book covers, and package design. At the end of 2020, Scott had an idea to write a story, which became "Into the Mystic: Sorcerer's Magic." He's now writing a sequel and has plans for a prequel. His passion is to inspire others to chase their dreams. He is happy to prove "you can be and do anything you put your mind to."
Scott lives in Tampa Bay, on Florida’s gulf coast.
