Subhashini Chandramani

Subhashini finds magic and meaning in fallen leaves, broken twigs, blossoming flowers, and fresh vegetables. She picks them up and arranges them on her working board to create colourful and arresting images and calls it "Garden Art"

Her poetry book, From the Anklets of a Homemaker, was published in 2013. Her second book was a children's book, Maya's Garden Song. It is a sing along poetry book where a little girl called Maya dreams to be become the trees, flowers and bees. It is a kindle book waiting to become a paperback.

Subhashini began Garden Art in 2015 as a creative outlet. Along with her love for photography and drawing, she found herself creating images from flowers, leaves, twigs and other botanical elements and started posting it on social media. Her art project has touched hearts across India and the world, evidenced from her popularity on multiple social media channels and coverage of her art in The Huffington Post, Metro UK, The Hindu, Scroll, Deccan Herald, The Better India, regional magazines and websites. The Garden Art journal is her first book on her art work. It is a uniquely designed journal to inspire as well as kindle creativity. Her work can be followed on Instagram and Twitter under her handle, @neelavanam
