Robert M Keefer

Robert Keefer has spent more than twenty-five years building security programs where the stakes are measured in mission as much as money: nonprofits, healthcare organizations, and global enterprises. He holds the CISSP and CEH certifications and an MBA, has served as an ISSA chapter president, and speaks regularly at CISO summits and industry conferences. His work rests on a simple conviction: we aren't protecting data, we're protecting people.

His forthcoming book, Mission Critical, is a guide for security leaders in organizations that can't afford to fail, written from the experience of standing up programs from zero, more than once.

Robert lives in the Washington, DC area with his spouse. Away from the keyboard, he is a classical guitarist and a devoted reader of fantasy and gothic fiction, which he credits with teaching him more about writing than any business book ever has.
