Robert M Keefer

Robert Keefer (CISSP, C|EH, MCSE) is an Information Security professional and pundit with nearly two decades of experience in the industry. A published technical author, he believes that good security happens best when technical needs are communicated to the business, and vice-versa.

Robert came into IT by accidentally breaking a Novell Network, and having to assist in the recovery. He moved from support roles to network engineering, and from there to security almost as a matter of course. Since then, he has established security programs for organizations ranging in size from as small as a dozen people to international in scope, helped cars talk to cellphones more securely, and co-authored a book on Microsoft virtualization.

In his spare time, Robert is an armchair ethnomusicologist and early music aficionado, and computer gamer of no real skill.
