Emma Bloom

Ever since childhood, I have enjoyed reading anything I could get my hands on. When I ran out of books to read, I started to write my own. I never dared dream that publishing them might be possible. Knowing that writing might not be a sound vocation, I studied to be an elementary teacher at Illinois State University.

I taught at different grade levels, subjects, and schools before I realized the only joy I had as a teacher was when I was teaching writing. Go figure! So I made myself a promise that I would keep writing no matter what. Many years and two kids later, I am now following through with my promise.
