Janet McClintock

Action comes easy to Janet McClintock. She has raced motorcycles, owned horses, drove a tractor trailer New York to California, and did a bazillion other lesser activities--like a brief stint with whitewater rafting. During thirty-some years of dabbling in martial arts, she has trained in such styles at Tae Kwon Do,(I call it the gateway art), Kung Fu (gotta love the Chinese stuff), American Combato (a kill or incapacitate style), Krav Maga (the martial art of the Mossad) and just enough grappling to know she doesn't want to fight from the ground. She is currently training in Kali (emphasis is on weapons and destruction of the limbs) and Jeet Kune Do (a combination of Maphilindo Silat, Wing Chung & Muay Thai), with a class a week in Muay Thai just for exercise (too much punching, which is rarely done in a real fight). She has completed Phase I to become a certified Edge Weapons Combatives Instructor.

Finally, after 22 years in the US Army, she exhaled and settled down in Pittsburgh. Since she doesn't heal as quickly as she used to, she now lives the active life through her characters.

She has completed her four-part Iron Angel thriller series. None of this would have been possible without her fabulous critique group, where they step up to say the difficult things (like: "rewrite 2/3 of this book, the conflict is wrong." You catch thedrift of how they are completely unafraid of her.) She loves 'em to death...well, not to DEATH. Let's say to hell and back.
