Lanny Daise

At the age of 34 years, Lanny Daise left a very successful and promising career, one which he describes in his book as a very stressful and unbalanced life, and traveled to Hawaii with a backpack and funds to pursue a life-long dream of cruising the Pacific Ocean and Island nations. He had never owned a sailboat, only chartering and being mentored and befriended by many experienced sailors who help him gain the knowledge to cast off the dock lines. He credits his upbringing of hard work on farms and construction jobs for giving him the work ethic of persevering until a job is completed. Never being one to properly express himself with a pen but able to tell a good story, he had a wonderful time composing his first book, Seeking the Green Flash, and looks forward to continuing on with the saga of Luke and Teruyo.
