I have published four works of southern historical fiction. My first two novels, "Annaliese From Off" and "Annaliese, Sound and True", are set in 1900 in Georgia's Appalachian mountains. The next two novels are set in South Carolina's Lowcountry. "The Rice Birds", and "The Irish Visitor" have strong female characters who overcome discrimination against Irish immigrants and the chaos before and after the Civil War.

I have a journalism degree from the University of Georgia. Born in Tennessee, I now live in South Carolina. My favorite authors are Paulette Jiles, Mary Alice Monroe, Paula McLain, Sue Monk Kidd, Ian McEwan, and Geraldine Brooks. Now that's variety for you!
