Jeremy Pataky

Jeremy Pataky is the author of Overwinter (University of Alaska Press). His work appears in Colorado Review, Black Warrior Review, The Southeast Review, Cirque, Camas, Ice Floe, Chatter Marks, and others, plus CBC North, Montana Public Radio, and more. He is a contributor to anthologies like Refugium: Poems for the Pacific and Sweet Water: Poems for the Watersheds (Caitlin Press), A Natural History of Now: Reports from the Edge of Nature (Kelson Books) and Permanent Vacation: 20 Writers on Work and Life in Our National Parks (Bona Fide Books), among others. Jeremy earned an MFA at the University of Montana. He co-founded 49 Writers, a nonprofit in the 49th state, where he served for 10 years, first as a board member and then as executive director. He is publisher of Porphyry Press and Edible Alaska magazine. He has received support from Playa, Anchorage Museum, Willowtail Springs, and Jenni House in Yukon. He splits his time between McCarthy and Anchorage.
