Mike Brooks

Mike Brooks is the queer, partially-deaf author of grimy space-opera The Keiko Series, epic fantasy series The God-King Chronicles (including the British Fantasy Award-shortlisted first novel, The Black Coast), and a variety of works for Games Workshop including Brutal Kunnin, and the Audible Bestselling and Black Library Book Of The Year 2024, The Lion: Son of the Forest. He lives in Nottingham, UK, and worked for a homelessness charity for fifteen years before becoming a full-time author. When not writing he plays guitar and sings in a punk band, and DJs wherever anyone will tolerate him.
