David McDonald

David was born in St. Andrews and was educated in Philosophy, Literature and History, at the Open and Dundee Universities. He was a Silver Prize winner in a World Poetry Competition in 2002 and has been writing since he was in High School. His poetry has been published in many anthologies, including those by Forward Poetry, Duality and Poetry Rivals.

He has thirteen published titles to his name and edited and published two by his local writing groups, where he is the editor and contributor. He is also an activist for social justice and human rights as well as being a part of the very vibrant Edinburgh performance poetry scene. He also runs a new performance group called Fife Scrievers that run performance evenings for writers, poets, musicians and artists in his native Fife. Additionally he co-hosts CCC Open mic and music night on behalf of Corstorphine Community Centre, Edinburgh.
