I started out my career in mental health by serving as the executive director of the Pinellas County, Florida affiliate of the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI). In 2007, I founded Florida Borderline Personality Disorder Association—a nonprofit organization dedicated towards providing advocacy, education, and support for persons diagnosed with BPD and their families.
As a licensed social worker, I provide comprehensive dialectical behavior therapy (or DBT) through my office in Waco, Texas.
I am also interested in evidence-based treatments like mentalization-based treatment and logotherapy. While I primarily work with individuals diagnosed with personality disorders, I am happy to meet with anyone who is open to finding more meaning and purpose in their life.
