Walter Joris

Dutch speaking Belgian. Born in 1951. Living by the sea in Flanders. Author of a few humorous books in Dutch. One comic. Also books in English about pen and paper games, translated in several languages. Used to perform humorous solo theater as a living. Made several appearances on Belgian (Flemish) and Dutch television. Had two own TV-series in the Netherlands. Exhibitions with mostly drawings and objects. Cartoons in magazines. Several projects, papers, articles. Inventor of strategic pen and paper games, math puzzles, intelligent pastimes. Directly written in English: "Walter Joris's Evil Stories", plus "-Surrealist stories" and "-Weird Stories". They are all flash fiction. Evil Stories is also translated by me into Dutch (but first directly written in English). (It is better to translate from an easy language -English- into a diffficult one -Dutch-, then vice versa.) All fiction is rather dark but humorous. The Dutch Version is called WJ' Duivelse Verhalen. I call it Fun Fantasy. I also have two novels in English.
