I grew up wandering the west coast, spending much of my time in Washington state. I was a voracious reader who used to bring home paper bags full of books from the library every few days, then return them for more.

Fun fact: when I was a little girl, I was bitten by a my great uncle's pet capuchin monkey while feeding it a Tootsie Roll Pop. The little guy gave me a nasty jungle disease! Bad monkey. Not sure if the moral of the story is "Don't keep monkeys as pets," or "Don't feed Tootsie Roll Pops to monkeys." Take your pick.

I have an English degree from the University of Washington. Although I live in British Columbia now, I'm still a Seattle girl at heart. I love a good cup of coffee and the sound of rain on the windows.
