Allan Barsema is the Founder of the MPOWR collaborative case management system (See: www.MPOWR.com). He is now an Independent Consultant, and is the author of "Bridges to Wholeness - Using MPOWR, a data-driven collaborative model to address poverty and related social issues", published by Aha Process in 2014.

Allan has more than 35 years of leadership and management experience in nonprofit and for-profit organizations. In the academic world Allan served as a Senior Research Associate with the Northern Illinois University, Center for Governmental Studies. As a social entrepreneur, Mr. Barsema is the founder of two nationally recognized nonprofit organizations instrumental in the fight against homelessness and poverty: the Carpenter's Place (www.carpentersplace.org), and Community Collaboration and Integration (www.cciunites.org), which was acquired by the SupplyCore Technology Group (STG) in 2012. He also served as a founding board member for the Illinois Association for Criminal Justice (www.illinoiscriminaljustice.org).

The holistic and collaborative methodologies and web based toolsets he developed are currently being used in multiple communities, states, and initiatives helping individuals and families to successfully rebuild their lives. MPOWR is helping communities successfully address poverty, homelessness, prisoner reentry, youth and truancy, and other person centered social issues. MPOWR is also the supporting technology program for 'Bridges Out Of Poverty' (www.bridgesoutofpoverty.com), and the Bridges 'Getting Ahead' classes. Mr. Barsema's passion to help others rebuild their lives stems from his personal experience and success overcoming addictions and homelessness.

Allan continues to apply his extensive experience in developing and implementing innovative models utilizing technology and collaborations for the effective delivery of human services. His current work includes the founding of One Body Collaboratives (www.onebodycollaboratives.org) with a mission of mobilizing and coordinating church & faith-based resources to effectively address individual, family, and community needs.

Mr. Barsema's work has been awarded the 2010 Harvard University, ASH Center, Innovation in American Government 'Bright Idea' award, the 2010 Civic Ventures 'Purpose Prize' award, as well as the 2011 Covenant Denomination 'Compassion, Mercy, & Justice' Award.
