Terry Lieberstein (www.lovingstone.com) is an author, poet, speaker, songwriter, singer/guitarist, and Cantorial Soloist who has been a keynoter, presenter, performer and seminar/workshop leader at a wide variety of events across the country. She is also a frequent contributor to various newsletters and periodicals, and her original songs have been included in a number of compilations.
As a Cantorial Soloist, Terry has studied with nationally known Cantor/songwriter Doug Cotler and attended classes at Hebrew Union College and American Jewish University. For the last 25 years, she has planned and facilitated retreats and workshops for synagogues, children's programs, and women's groups across the country. Terry has also performed and presented at the CAJE conference for Jewish educators and musicians.
Terry is the co-founder of 'Voices of Women' (voicesofwomenmusic.com), co-writing and producing productions that highlight Jewish women of the Torah with her partner, Wendy Hersh. Ter is also a founding member of Elemental Harmony, a female a cappella trio, and writes both original compositions and arrangements for the group.
Terry's eclectic songwriting style and interests are reflected in her two CD's: "Center of the Storm", a compilation of inspirational music; and "Turkey Burps and T-Ball", a collection of heart-warming, silly and fun family songs. Terry works with all ages, from pre-school to seniors, providing meaningful, age-appropriate, interactive programs that educate and inspire.
Terry holds a BA in Theatre Arts and a Master's Degree in Biogeography. Her MA thesis, "Reserve Design in the Santa Monica Mountains", was the first study conducted about this highly sensitive ecological area. In 1984, Terry launched a nationally successful environmental education catalog business called 'Nature Watch', in which she wrote original programs and curriculum for hands-on education about the environment.
Terry is also certified as an Officiant by the Celebrant USA Foundation and as a Facilitator by the Grief Recovery Institute, and is a certified chaplain and minister as well.
