Patty van Delft

Patty van Delft (1981) is born and raised in The Hague. She was a teacher for years before she became a full-time writer.

She virtually devoured books from a very young age and has always written short stories and poems.

Reading and writing Fantasy is one of her greatest passions, because not many things can compete with escaping reality and losing yourself in a world filled with heroes, dragons and magic.

Her Drägan Duma series, brought out in the Netherlands and Belgium by Celtica Publishing, has many enthusiastic readers. This series is aimed at a wide public who love Fantasy, but essentially, Young Adults. Her first book, Zij Die Hoort, has won the third place in the Hebban Fantasy Awards, best fantasy books in the Netherlands and Belgium in 2014.

The stand-alone within the Drägan Duma universe, An Unbreakable Bond, is also available in English from July 2023

At the moment, she is working on a new Fantasy series; Terras Altas from which the first two books are now available in Dutch.
