J.B. Allen

Judy Allen identifies herself first and foremost as a West Texas farm girl. Growing up on a family farm presented first-hand interaction and appreciation for farm animals. While teaching eighth grade English, Judy began creating farm animal characters parallel to the memories of real life farm animals. She aspires to share stories that stimulate interest in animals and open a gateway for understanding their unique personalities.

The original ELM GROVE FARM sign posted on this page is testament to where my farm life began.

MAMA YELLA AND HER KITTYSITTERS

I must mention my time at Venus Elementary in Venus, Texas. Kinder and first grade classes sat on carpet and listened attentively about Isabella and Henrietta and Isabella and Charlie. The first graders loved the competition factor in CHARLIE THE PIG WHO WANTED TO BE CLEAN. Two little girls in separate classes said in their sweet voices, "My name is Isabella." I don't remember my response. Maybe I asked them if they could sing!

I brought into reality a new area of writing and publication. THE KICKER, a criminal mystery, and an ebook.
