Michael Miller MD, is a Johns Hopkins trained, board certified cardiologist who led the original research demonstrating the benefit of positive emotions on the cardiovascular system. He is Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and serves as Chair of Governor Hogan's Advisory Panel on Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention. Nationally, Dr. Miller is Council Member for the American Heart Association Nutrition and Lifestyle Committee and the American College of Cardiology Nutrition Work Group.

Dr. Miller has published more than 250 scientific papers in leading medical journals and his original research has been featured on CNN, Scientific American, Times of London, Chicago Tribune, NY Times and Good Morning America.
