Will Meadows has spent the best part of the last two decades working in the diet and nutrition industries in the US, UK and Europe.
Prior to being involved in the world of dieting, Will had an interesting meeting with a 'long lost' Uncle. Prior to this meeting, Will had spent two years living in China dining like an Emperor. Incredibly, Will hadn't noticed that his lavish lifestyle had put many lbs of fat onto his waistline. The weight had literally crept up on him. However Will's Uncle noticed immediately and found his weight gain to be incredibly amusing. Will hasn't seen him since!
That family meeting led to Will embarking on a number of diets. All of them worked - for a short while. That's the problem with diets. They don't normally last very long.
Fate then intervened with Will landing a job at the forefront of the diet and nutrition industries. This job took Will inside some of the biggest diet brands on the planet.
Dissatisfied with his cycle of Yo-Yo dieting and now with insider knowledge, Will set about developing his own diet. He needed the diet to fit in with his life, allow the foods he loved and not require the constant recording of every mouthful he ate. He wanted to live life and not be controlled by food.
'The Final Countdown Diet' is the result of Will's research. He believes it contains the secret to long-term and permanent weight loss.
Will has also been involved with another diet publication, "The Banting Diet: Letter on Corpulence" which is a reproduction of William Banting's 1864 classic. Will provides the Foreword & Commentary for this book. Even though 'The Final Countdown Diet' is far removed from the Banting diet, Will firmly acknowledges the historical importance of Banting's work and his impact on the many low-carb diets that would follow over the following 150 years.
