Michael Simms is a retired health professional.
He used to enjoy making up stories for his three children when they were small and this has continued with his six grandchildren.
He has an offbeat sense of humour and enjoys writing silly rhymes. Over the years he has had several published in the UK national press and broadcast on the BBC.
He has written two books:
Shapes by Schmoo, which was written for his grandchildren to teach them simple shapes.
Really Revolting Rhymes, his latest book, is more adult and was written for his children when they were older.
