D. E. Sanderson has been telling stories since long before she had the time to write them down. The world of Sambizza first came to her as an idea for a movie nearly thirty years ago. She turned it into the novels The Crossing and Gathering Forces, then stepped away from writing to focus on her career as a tech executive and on raising her daughter.

Now living in Ghana, West Africa, she is finishing Book Three of the First Blood of Sambizza series.

She is a lifelong Stephen King fan and still believes the best stories start with an ordinary person and one strange evening.
