Kirby Williams

Kirby Williams, like Urby Brown, the hero of his first novel Rage in Paris, sought refuge in France in 1962 from the racial turmoil of the United States. He has lived ever since in Paris, where he worked in the Secretariat of UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) from 1967 to 2000 with diplomatic status. Kirby's real-life experiences inform the narrative of Rage in Paris, a fast-paced thriller Kirkus Reviews calls "a raucous exercise in screwball historical fiction with some hard-boiled action blended in."
