Mark D. Cravens

Mark grew up in a Christian home, the youngest of three children. He accepted Jesus and has been a Christian since 1985; shortly after his son was born. Since then, he has diligently studied the Bible, has been active in church, and the work of the kingdom. He has taught Sunday school and Small Groups for over 20 years. While meditating and praying during preparation for teaching a lesson, God revealed a truth from his Word through his Holy Spirit. Mark used this truth/message about 'no excuses' while teaching for many years. Then, God led him to write a book about this message. Having never written a book, he was reluctant at first. But then after much prayer, God helped Mark understand that through him all things are possible. So Mark surrendered to be an instrument of God's will and wrote this book. And while doing so, he began to draw from previous experiences of teaching and writing. As an architect, Mark has to write about technical design or construction issues which typically are written in a matter of fact style. This style also seemed appropriate for the message in this book - just speak the truth in love.
