Rust and Moth

Rust+Moth is a literary journal committed to imaginative and engaging poetry. Since 2008, we have dedicated ourselves to discovering new writers and presenting their work alongside evocative graphic design. We believe in the vitality of electronic publication and strive to make our social media loud and relevant. We also believe in the tactile appeal of quality print editions.

We accept submissions year-round, and we publish works online as we accept them. We gather our published works into finalized collections four times a year, one for every season, complete with graphic design from Bowler Hat Creative. These collections then become available on our site, in print, on Issuu, via Kindle, and in the stacks of the Perry–Castañeda Library at the University of Texas at Austin.

Our editors value work that errs on the side of immediacy, strong images, and heartfelt innovation. We pride ourselves on our quick turnaround time from submission to publication and we encourage you to submit!
