Maureen Arcuri

Maureen Arcuri is from Roseville, California and her co-author, Matt White, is from Martinez, California. Matt and Maureen are historical re-enactors and met in 2006 when Maureen joined St. Andrews Guild-The Court of Mary Queen of Scots. Their writing began with poetry and short stories written about the events and people they experienced during their performances at renaissance fairs throughout Northern California. Their stories are based on the characters they portray. Matt is passionate about his Irish heritage, and his knowledge of the history of Scotland and Ireland is astounding. He speaks Gaelic and knows the words to almost every Irish song there is - and never hesitates to sing them. Both his knowledge and his humor are reflected in his writing, giving a richness and familiarity to his characters. Matt and Maureen have truly enjoyed bringing their story to life.
