David Edwards

David is from the island state of Tasmania, Australia. He was born into a travel household, with his Australian/German parents meeting in a hostel in Germany. He has lived in most states in Australia, as well as Dalian and Shanghai in China and San Pedro in Guatemala. In his travels he has spent over 1400 nights in hostels across 45+ countries in 6 continents.

He wrote his first book 'How Not to Backpack' while on a 3 year backpacking trip through Central and South America. His writing style is light-hearted and fun. His biggest inspiration is the book Don't Tell Mum I Work on the Rigs, by Paul Carter. He is currently somewhere in South America.
