Ashok Kumar Singh

Ashok Kumar Singh was born in a north Indian town where George Orwell once lived as an infant. His ancestral village is just 7 miles from Mokameh ghat where Jim Corbett worked in the Indian railways. Fifty miles to the north of where he lives is the town where Rudyard Kipling got the idea for his famous Jungle Book. And finally 50 miles to the south east of where he lives is the famous Barabar hills(Marabar hills in the book) which is the center point for the plot of E M Forster's 'A Passage To India.' Naturally Ashok enjoyed reading these books. His children's books reminds one of Kiplings works and his hunting stories are reminiscent of Jim Corbetts writing style. He is a fan of Stephen King, Brian Freeman, Lesley Kagen, Kerry Lonsdale, Lauren Blakely and Katherine Ryan Hyde. J K Rowlings Harry Potter series is his favorite.
