About the Author

Jacqueline Futerer is a child with a vivid and daring imagination.

Before she could read or write, she was telling stories

and drawing pictures to illustrate her stories. Her mother,

recognizing Jacqueline's gift for storytelling, encouraged

her to turn her stories into books.

Little Marigold is the first of the Sunshine Books,

a series of children's books co-written and co-illustrated

by Jacqueline and her mother. From the day Jacqueline was

born, her mother nicknamed her Sunshine. Little did her

mother know the ray of light her daughter was born to be.

When it came to choosing an author name for the series of

children's books that Jacqueline and her mother are co-creating,

Sunshine was the only name that made perfect sense.
