After contributing essays to a number of collections including: "I Wasn't Strong Like This When I Started Out: True Stories of Becoming a Nurse (editor Lee Gutkind, Creative Non-fiction), "The Maternal is Political" and "I Wanna Be Sedated" (Seal Press anthologies) and both fiction and non-fiction to anthologies and periodicals, Gaby decided to pursue editing her own collection. "Dumped: Stories of Women Unfriending Women" published by She Writes Press in 2015. Since that time her essays have been included in the anthologies "How Does That Make You Feel" and "Mothering Through Darkness." She was a finalist in the 2016 DIAGRAM essay contest, and in the Quarter-After-Eight short prose contest, has published in Proximity, Rock&Sling, Intima, Entropy, Mslexia, on Kevin MD and Brevity blog sites, and upcoming in the anthology "A Second Blooming." Gaby has also completed a collection of vignettes, "OVERHEARD: gesture/story and is exhibiting flash memoir with image and text in a three dimensional format, which have been exhibited at numerous venues in the northeast. Gaby is also a full-time psychiatric nurse practitioner and addictions specialist.
