John D. Cooper

John Cooper is a musician, songwriter and author. As a songwriter, he has written many Christian songs, performing them with his family group in churches, conferences and music festivals. As an author, he has completed two full length novels, From Woodstock To Eternity and The Steel Wall. Since the cliff hanger ending in the Woodstock book led many to plead for the conclusion, The Steel Wall was published in December, 2021. Both books have received many 5 star reviews, and there is some possibility for a screen play in the making. He was born in 1951 and grew up in the hippie days of the 1960's and '70's. He went to the Woodstock Music Festival in 1969, and his commitment to the cause led him into the world of international pot smuggling. In his book, he chronicles the rise and fall of the hippie culture, the drama of drug dealing, and the consequences he had to face. His travels took him to Paris, TX where he was introduced to the Gospel. After a long struggle of trying to hang on to his old ways, he finally made it to the other side. He returned to Texas in 1987, with his wife Lisa, where they have raised seven amazing children.
