Sarah Lewis

Sarah Lewis started her professional working life as a social worker in child

protection in the UK. During that career she moved into management and added an

MSc in organisational and occupational psychology to her masters in social

work and her first degree in the social sciences. In 1993 she launched her

independent business psychology consultancy Appreciating Change. She quickly

discovered that her passion for helping people change was just as valuable in

her new career as it had been in social work.

Sarah is keen to help students and learners, managers and leaders put theory

into practice, and lectures regularly at post-graduate level as well as running

training and development programmes in-house. Her books focus on the practical

application of positive psychology theory and research in the workplace.

In addition, she has a specialist interest in appreciative inquiry and dialogic

organisational development.

Sarah has recently started a Doctorate in Professional Practice by Public Works

and already has the beginning of an idea for another publication
