Bill Newcott

Award-winning author, film critic, radio and TV host, Bill Newcott is the weekly film critic for The Saturday Evening Post. He created AARP’s Movies for Grownups franchise in 2002, and for 12 years produced and hosted the Gracie Award-winning Movies for Grownups Radio Show, heard on more than 600 stations weekly.

A noted travel writer, Bill won the prestigious Lowell Thomas Award from the Society of American Travel Writers in 2007. He was named Writer of the Year by the International Regional Media Association three years in a row, 2021-2023. Prior to his association with AARP, Bill was Expeditions and Space Science Editor for National Geographic Magazine (where he won the Aviation and Space Writers Association Award for Excellence in 1996). During the 1980s he was associate editor of The National Enquirer.
