Michael W. Mehaffy

Michael W. Mehaffy, Ph.D., is an urbanist and design theorist, with appointments in teaching and/or research to date in seven graduate universities in six countries and three disciplines (architecture, urban planning and philosophy). He is executive director of Portland, Oregon based Sustasis Foundation, and editor of Sustasis Press. He is also currently Senior Researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, and Director of the Future of Places Research Network based there. He has been a consultant to UN-Habitat on the development of the outcome document of Habitat III, the New Urban Agenda, which has been adopted by consensus by all 193 member states of the United Nations.
